Sharon Bowen

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Foresight. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been in the field of Social Work for over 10 years as an advocate, a case manager, and a therapist during various points in my career path. I have experience working in both community and hospital settings where my focus has been around helping others find their voice. I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages and helping them work to learn how to address their worries but also to become their own best advocate. I have worked with a variety of populations and points of concern with focus areas around anxiety, depression, identity, and trauma. I approach therapy from a client-centered perspective and believe that you know yourself better than anyone else. I know that therapy can be a scary step but my goal is that we work on this journey together and move at the client's pace. I believe that a person is much more than their diagnosis and want to provide a safe environment in which to explore one's needs and concerns. In my role, I strive to be nonjudgmental, caring, and compassionate.
