La'Shandria Penn

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Children and Families from The University of Texas at Arlington. I have experience working in community-based, outpatient and inpatient Mental Health Settings. I have a passion for working with young and older adults in order to assist them on their journey to wellness. My specialties include trauma, survivors of childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, coping skills, adjustment disorders, and stress management. I utilize a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective in working with clients in order to help them connect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to create opportunities for personal growth. I have experience working with adolescents and adults utilizing interventions from cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based, solution-focused approaches, and mindfulness practices.
