Kyle Scott Tamminga, MD

I chose to pursue a career in medicine as I saw it as a great opportunity to help others and form meaningful relationships with those I am able to serve. I also owe my inspiration to my mother, an exceptional registered nurse, who constantly showcased to me what impact one could make via a life of service and caring for others. There are many general principles that help guide the care we as healthcare providers deliver, but I’m a firm believer that the care we provide should be individualized to meet the specific needs for each patient. I strive to form partnerships with my patients and work toward care plans that best meet each individual’s beliefs, preferences and needs. My clinical interests include: preventative medicine, adolescent/college health, musculoskeletal care, mental health and gender-affirming care. I treasure time to spend with my family – my amazing wife, three children and our dog. For better or worse, we cherish any opportunity to try new food, baked goods, and desserts. I enjoy anything that allows me to be outdoors and stay active.
