Heather Lawson, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Serving in the healthcare setting since 2006, I have experience in several areas of medicine that has led me to my ultimate destination of practicing as a nurse practitioner. I have always wanted to help patients navigate their healthcare journey, and being a nurse practitioner gives me the platform to do so. I chose this career to be a positive influence on patients, to prevent the feeling of being overwhelmed with healthcare, and to give patients the power to improve their health. My approach to patient care is explaining and educating. I want to ensure my patients understand the ‘why’ behind what we do and empower them in their healthcare so they can live their best lives. My areas of special interest are vascular medicine, vascular surgery and women’s vascular health. When I am not at work, I love running outside, traveling to new places, reading as many books as I can, and trying new foods and restaurants.
