Erin Boling

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Foresight. I have experience working at a community mental health agency and small group practice with adults from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from The University of Akron and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. I have experience in the treatment of a variety of mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, relationship conflict, personality disorders and trauma. I have also received training in the treatment of substance use disorders and have an astute understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health. I primarily utilize interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and exposure therapy. I also enjoy integrating mindfulness into my practice as I believe we can all benefit from an increased sense of nonjudgmental awareness of self. I take a person-centered approach to the therapeutic relationship because each of us have a different set of life experiences, strengths, struggles, and cultural backgrounds that we bring with us to therapy. I strive to facilitate a sense of personal empowerment for others and enjoy working collaboratively with clients to achieve an improved quality of life.
