Stay away! What a rip-off this place has turned into. Ordered a ham & cheese croissant which was listed at $4.45 and was charged $6.45 at the cash register. Guy simply said I ordered it wrong. Then proceeded to overcharge my friend a dollar on his orange juice and someone else in line was charged for lox and given a bagel with lox spread. Just plain sleazy...
OK BagelAs far as bagel places go, there are a lot in New York, so they would have to excel at something to stand out. Tal is really just a neighborhood place, good enough if convenience is the most important factor. The food was a bit expensive for what it was, though my bagel was prepared to my liking: warm and chewy on the inside, and just crispy enough on the outside. So if you live nearby, have a bagel sandwich, there are a bunch of flavors and stuff you can put on them.
Good but ExpensiveThe bagels are good but not up to the standards of the greatest city on earth.
