What A Bargain!
Santikos Embassy Theatre is family-oriented, as well as comfortable and clean. The early evening prices are quite a bargain for first-run movies, and for school kids with small allowances. What I like the most is the free summer movie program for kids. They show a different movie every week, and they show a good variety of movies for different ages. The theatre may not be as large and distinguished as others, but the customer service is exceptional!Great bargain for families
This is a terrific neighborhood movie theatre featuring first-run movies at reasonable ticket prices. Movies that are likely to appeal to teens will be jam-packed on weekends and will net you all the attendant obnoxious teen behavior -- seat changing, talking, and cell-phones. However, unlike other places we've been, Santikos is diligent about posting security staff in the theatre to keep the noise and disruption down. We couldn't ask for a better neighborhood movie theatre!Prices Need Updating
This year the fees went up. $5 flat fee for everyone until 3:59pm. $4.25 for everyone between 4-6pm. $8 adults, $5 everyone else (students, seniors, kids) until close after that. As always, kids 3 & under are free. I've only been once, but I was impressed. The theater is clean (including the bathrooms), and the facilities are adequate. Popcorn is pulled off a shelf and you do your own butter at the condiments stand, which I LOVE. Have you ever tried to negotiate extra butter at other theaters? There's either a charge or they don't know how to do it right. Concessions aren't that much either. I don't have prices on-hand though. I remember it wasn't bad.Great Family Theater
We live 18 miles from there and even pass up another popular theater because we enjoy it so much! Self serve sodas and Icees do the trick for everyone and the staff is always friendly. They hire some physically challenged which I think is noteworthy. The place is pretty clean and I like the fact they have security. The mid afternoon discount (between 4-6 I think it costs $4.25) is the best when your watching your $$. Enjoy your movie here.New Sherlock Holmes Movie
I would not recommend the Santikos Embassy 14 on Embassy Row. The theater screen was very dark. We could not really enjoy our movie. The theater staff told myself and more than a dozen others that the movie was just this way. I say BULL. All of the HD movie trailers are great quality and lighting. This theater in my opinion is greatly hurting the producers and film studios by showing this great movie in low quality style.Letter to Corporation
Prior to entering the movie theater where the showing was, my 5 year old son and stopped to purchase popcorn and to request a cup of water. At that time a 4 once open lid cup was handed to us. I asked if it was possible to upgrade to a cup with a lid to prevent any spills from my newly turned 5 year old son during the movie. I was refused due to policy. I offered to purchase a cup with a top and was refused due to policy.Worldwide > United States > San Antonio, TX > Movie Theaters
