Elegant setting and fabulous food.
We love Pacific Wave. The atmosphere is very nice, they have also have a bar and a huge wine selection. I have never been disappointed in a meal. You must start with the baby spinach salad which is served in a crust of parm cheese (delicious)! They also have a full sushi bar and it is very fresh and yummy. I also love the duck dish here. A must go!

Best Sushi in town!
Pacific Wave has by far the best Sushi in St. Pete. The Volcano rolls are to die for. Also try the spinach salad and nut crusted Hawaiian Catch! Delicious!!!

Not worth it!
After two big groups show up, we were totally ignored by the waitress for the rest of the night. The mandatory 18% gratuity included for groups of five people or more, must have been the reason behind it. A single couple trying to have a romantic evening can't compete with that! The $50 wine bottle was past its prime and not enjoyable. The main entrees weren't worth the money. For $25+ you expect much more value and better service. Only two items of the whole dinner course were satisfying, a salad and a soup. Overall, it was disappointing. In my view, due to an "established reputation" they are just laying back on their name and taking a free ride.

Freshest Seafood and best preperation and presentation by far.
I've been going to Pacific Wave for the past year and what a change in the past 2 months. There is a new found committment to a wine list that is extrordinary. Every item is perfectly prepared with the fresthest seafood I've seen anywhere. It's obvious the staff it in love with this restaurant and their passion for service and attentiveness is a perfect balance. The new owner is making some great changes by giving the place a small facelift and adding oustide dining. Once that happens, watch out as this is going to be a tough spot to get a reservation. This is a must try destination. Bravo!

Over priced and noisey!
We found the food to be well prepared but sauces were very heavy and the scallops were gritty. I'm not a chef but have used fresh and frozen scallops in many dishes and they can be rinsed very easily. Salads were fresh but had to much dressing. Service was slow in coming and water was not refilled promptly.

Finally a new Chef and New Owner, This place is now awesome!
I had been to Pacific Wave a few years ago and was not impressed. I finally returned after learning that there is a new owner, new management team, and a new executive Chef. I can not tell you how impressed I was this time around. The food was nothing short of amazing!! The service was fantastic. They now have a great wine list with over 100 bottles. This place is my new home away from home. The owner is the most friendly down to earth guy I have met in a long time. And again I can't say enough about the food! The fish was the freshest I have ever had, the sushi is by far the best in town, and the staff is just awesome. They have seating outside now and a private room. Loved it!

Disappointing
The whole experience was very disappointing. The place has really changed. There are so many great restaurants in St. Pete ....skip this one. Specifically, the food was ok and service seemed stressful.

overrated
this is my first time writing on one of these so ill give it my best shot. i met my boss there recently for martinis (love 'em) a few weeks back. the bartender was so arrogant that we ended up canceling our order and going down the street. i don't know what all the fuss is about. the place seems way overrated.

Fantastic service and food!
We ate there in September 2008. Our son goes to school in FL and recommended this restaurant. The food and service were terrific. We had an appetizer platter that the three of us shared that was so large and delicious that we ended up taking most of our dinners home. We just made reservations to go back in Feb 2009 when we are in town for parents weekend. Looking forward to it.

Simply Perfect
My husband and I were in town for rarther large event where I was performing. Some of the locals and our hotel recommended this place as the best in town.
