INeedMyLibertyTaxForms I've used Liberty Tax in Odenton, MD for the past two years now. I've been happy with the service so far with one VERY important exception. I visited this year with plenty of time prior to the April 15th tax filing deadline. My taxes were done without a hitch. I choose to e-file. They said that another person had to review the documents just to make everything was fine and then they would file them. No problem there, I'm all for redundancy. However, they had *ALL* of my original and *ONLY* copies of all my important tax documents. W2's, 1099's, you name it. In retrospect I never *EVER* would have given them my only copies, but since my preparation went so smoothly the year before, and since I was efiling I thought it wouldn't take them more than a day or two to do everything and then notify me that my documents were available. Unfortuantely, I couldn't be any more mistaken. To make a long story short after a couple of days from not hearing from them (expecting to hear any moment that I could retrieve my documents), I called the local Odenton, MD office (410.672.4280) before they opened and left a detailed voicemail requesting they contact me when I could pick up my forms. My call was never returned. As April 15th was approaching I called again, on April 14th, this time during normal business hours just to ensure that if nothing else at least everything would be efiled on time. They told me they would be and I could pick my forms up tomorrow (April 15th, tax day). So despite having numerous days in which they could have returned my documents prior to the 15th, they gave me less than a days notice to pick up my forms. The person that I finally did speak to (remember, they never called me either to tell me that my forms would / had been filed) seemed rather unfriendly and *made no indication whatsoever that April 15th would be the LAST and ONLY day to get my forms back*. Coming from work, I arrived 5 minutes after they closed on April 15th. No worries, I'm sure other people had to get their forms as well given the lack of notification -- or so I thought. I drove by the next morning during their posted hours (after confirming them on the sign in the door that *STILL* says "OPEN") and tried to leave a message. Turns out their voicemail was and *STILL* to this day is full. Try it -- the number is 410.672.4280. I absolutely *CAN NOT* recommend Liberty Tax in Odenton MD to anyone. *IF THEY WOULD GIVE ME MY ORIGINAL AND *MUCH NEEDED* TAX DOCUMENTS BACK* it might be a different story. I went so far as to try emailing and calling the (genuinely) nice fellow that prepared my taxes through them last year. The email address I had was invalid, but his voicemail still indicated his name. I left a message explaining my plight. It was not returned. Libery Tax, *I STILL NEED MY TAX FORMS* and I have no idea how to get ahold of you! *PLEASE* contact me via email -- INeedMyLibertyTaxForms@gmail.com. Include the words "tax forms" on the subject line or I won't get it. Thank You.
