Had to sell my vehicle after they ruined it
The Lewis brothers are very friendly people, but I don't recommend taking your vehicle there to be fixed. I needed to have a new fuel pump put in my vehicle, and it took them four days to make the repair. During that time, they made very little effort to call me to let me know the status of my vehicle. When the new fuel pump was put into my vehicle it busted the vehicle's fuel lines, which was very apparent as soon as I drove away from the repair shop. Even though it was obvious that the repair had caused the damage, the mechanic refused to make the new repair or refund me the price of the repair. Instead, I was quoted $1000 to fix it. I ended up having to sell the vehicle at a huge loss. I will never use this mechanic again, and advise anyone who isn't a personal friend of the Lewis family to stay away.Bad parts, bad repair, poor customer service
I had a repair done here, and ended up paying a small fortune for the work. When I checked the parts prices, I realized that the parts were only a small fraction of what I paid. I then read on the Lewis brothers website that they had used after market parts as well, so there was no explanation for the price I paid. Also, my vehicle was at this mechanic for a ridiculous amount of time...almost a full week! I have never had a repair take that long, even major ones. On top of all of this, the mechanic never even bothered to call me to let me know my vehicle was done! Afterwards, I had more problems with my vehicle that were related to the repair they had done, so I will never, ever take my vehicle to this mechanic again.Honest work that takes some time
I have had twocars worked on here. Both times the price was fair and the work completed resulted in no further problems. The owner was polite and competent. However, the amount of time it took to get work completed seemed way too long. For one car, we made an appointment and it took 'til the end of the day to hear what was wrong (a problem that takes no more than 10 minutes to diagnose) and made another appointment later in the week to get the car fixed. Also had to call them to hear what was going on with the car. On the upside they did find and repair a nail in our tire for no additional charge. For our commuter cars, we will take our cars here again, realizing that it will take some time to get our cars repaired.Worldwide > United States > Clayton, NC > Tires
