Lemon Grass Pho-sho

This is the take out version of Lemon Grass Restaurant on near Loehmann's Plaza on Munroe. It has the same ownership as all the La Bou restaurants, so you know the quality is there. The food is great. From the salad rolls to the pho to the noodle bowls and the pad thai. During the week, it's crowded from 12pm-1pm, so get there for an early or late lunch and you wait will be at a minimum. Clean, quality food you can taste at a reasonable price. They're open to 8:30pm and call ahead for pick up, it's perfect if you don't want to cook on Friday night.

Worst food & service EVER

Have NEVER had a bad meal @ the Lemon Grass off Fulton. I was at Howe Ave and saw a Lemon Grass sign. Actually it was more likely a La Bou, specialty was probably just noodles. Always having a "real" meal at Lemon Grass, I ordered the "Special" grilled chicken w/ the yellow tai sauce / gravy. The dinner came out cold. Rice was cold and totally dry, so was the chicken. I used all of the yellow / ginger sauce to try to bring the rice & chicken back to life. With over half the meal left I ran out and had to go to the cashier for more sauce. (Server NEVER CAME BACK TO REFILL EMPTY WATER GLASSES, EVEN EARLY IN THE MEAL). I waited for a moment. She told me she would bring it to the table. OVER 20 MINS LATER, THE SAUCE NEVER CAME. Now the meal was really cold and dry. I went back to ask again. They looked dumb founded and said that they would bring it. Now it was over 35 mins before they brought the sauce. I expressed my displeasure. They did not offer to re-heat the meal or even re-do it. Much later STILL NOT REFILLING THE WATER, she had the audacity to bring the check. I asked for a box so I could bring it for my dogs, since so much was left uneaten. When I got home I realized how cruel it would be to do that to my dogs.
After I grudgingly paid, she brought my credit card back w/ 2 chocolate chip cookies, as a peace offering.
I kiddingly asked if they were fresh and not hard. She told me she made them herself that day.
Instead of reheating the meal & a lover of cookies, I decided to eat the cookies when I got home. AS EXPECTED THEY WERE AS HARD AS A ROCK AND TOTALLY DRY.
The entire La Bou and Lemon Grass area was staffed by apparently CSUS students.
Management should really consider specialized training in cooking and food service.
I go out several times a week, at 54 yrs of age, I consider myself quite experienced (I even worked at one of the best restaurants in Sacto when younger) THIS IS EASILY ONE OF MY WORST DINING EXPERINCES.
