Chuck's Cookies & Coffee is Awesome!
What a great local shop, new expanded location on 2nd and B. More homemade pastry and cookies, bento also on tues and thurs, great outdoor seating! Illy coffee, outstanding cookies, free wifi and a fun quirky local family.

Worst customer service ever had
Tried to call to make an order over the phone, was hung up on the first time before even talked to; the second time I called back (thinking...oh, maybe someone hung up on me accidentally or dropped the phone, or ya know, things happen), the man who answered the phone said, "call back later, I am busy" in a frustrated tone and hung up on me. It would have been a large account for them, but bummer...that guy blew this company some serious money and blew their reputation, that's for sure. I would not recommend them to anyone. :(

The only place for Coffee in Lake Oswego
A little attitude goes a long way - and Chuck's daily, morning dose of personality is just what I need with my double mocha. This is not your typical Seattle-based joint, people, and there aren't 10 employees yelling over each other to take your order - so take a deep breath an enjoy the personal service you get when it's your turn. As a local neighbor, Chuck and his awesome crew get to know his customers and keep up a constant banter. The cookies are nothing short of perfection, too, and his White Chocolate Macadamia are second only to the Cranberry Walnut. Every single person in line grabs a mini cookie to munch while they wait. Now THIS is what a neighborhood coffee shop should hope to be!

Great local shop!
Chuck's is a hoot......not only do they have great illy coffee (the best in the world) but Chuck is a swell guy..... his family is very active in the community, he is always a great way to start my day. This is truly a family business. Meet friends, bring your dog, just a great asset to Lake Oswego. Awesome Cookies.

attitude bites more than coffe
I have called in 3 times and i was hung up on , similar to other reviews on this page i was not thrilled. The man who answered was extremely short with me and also told me "im busy, call back". Well i didnt. I love a good cup of coffe and chucks just isn't the place for it.

More like Jerk's Place
A friend and I stopped into Chuck's because we heard the food was really tasty. We were warned that the owners were kind of awful but went anyways. Well, it was only 9 a.m. and Chuck already seemed drunk, cursing like Yosemite Sam after spilling some coffee behind the counter and barking orders at the terrified employees. Then like a 5 foot 3 inch tornado form hell, his pig-faced wife enters. Instantly changing the energy in the room. Chuck and the girls tense up as she starts snapping at them and at the customers in line. Then to top it off they burned the milk on our lattes. Gross. I guess the people of Lake Oswego like a**holes serving them.

Great Indy Coffee Shop‎
Chuck's Place is my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is excellent. The food is tasty. Chuck is Chuck. The wifi is free for customers. The owners live in the neighborhood and are active in the community. The patio out front is fantastic in good weather. The coffee is excellent. There is a nook for little kid's and their handlers. The shuffleboard table is usually open. It is a great place to catch up with a friend, have a small meeting, or just read the paper. These are a few of the reasons I hit Chuck's Place every day. Did I mention the coffee? It is excellent.

Great cookies and coffee!
I love going to Chuck's! Not only have i always had great service, the coffee is so smooth and the oatmeal cookies are the best! A great place to just sit and relax with friends.

Let's get ready to rumble!!!
I came in one morning and the owner (Chuck?) was arguing with who I could only assume was his wife. It was so akward and uncomfortable for me that I really don't want to return. It's too bad because the shop is really nice and the coffee is pretty good. However the service is seriously lacking. So I wouldn't recommend Chuck's Place to anyone who is looking for a friendly neighborhood coffee house.

I'm not the collection agency, I just want some coffee!
My office wanted coffee and cookies for a meeting. So I called Chuck's place 3 times and when they finally answered the phone I was greeted with "I'm busy, call back later!" CLICK!! He hung up! What kind of service is that?! So rude! Looks like this isn't the first time according to the other reviews. I don't plan on calling again. Suck it Chuck!

Best Coffee Place in LO!
There is a reason that locals know that Chucks is LO's best coffee shop. Many come for the great coffee and food. Many also come for the fab atmosphere for meeting friends. But it is the larger than life personality of the shops namesake, Chuck, that makes this place truly unique. Instantly you are treated like family and Chuck goes out of his way to get to know everyone. Chucks is the perfect example of how local businesses bring the community together.

Die Hard Locals
I have been going to Chuck's for a long time. Love the new, expanded location on 2nd and B. Great cookies, coffee and Chuck and his family are major supporters of all things local. Some of the other reviews struck me as odd although everyone can have an off day. Great meeting space and an offbeat sense of humor from the namesake!

Local Gathering Place
I stopped by Chuck's today with my daughter for a fun treat, what a cool place, they had yummy well priced treats, hot chocolate for her and a really tasty mocha latte for me. The staff was very friendly to us, they have little cookie samples in a bucket by the cash register.....! My new morning stop.

I Liked it!
I went to the new location at 2nd and B, downtown Lake O. The space is fun with a big door on the patio......I actually met Chuck and he is a salty, fun guy......Had a panini sandwich, which was good and a cranberry walnut cookie for dessert. Will be back.

Fabulous Private Party - great food and service
I went to a private party at Chucks Coffee shop in Lake Oswego last week, and what a great time! The food was great and the atmosphere and service were phenomenal. We will definitely plan an event there if the opportunity arises. We went back for one of their happy hours, and again were pleasantly surprised by the casual and comfortable atmosphere and the great food and wine selection. We felt bad for the waitress because we kept re-ordering the food! The chicken and beef sliders were amazing and the squash soup was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Great Local Coffee Shop!
