Unforgivable Treatment. My Father died on February 27, 1966 and was buried at Capitol Memorial Gardens on March 1, 1966. I was planning a trip to Texas last May to celebrate my niece's graduation from high school. I thought since I hadn't visited my dad's grave since 1968 that I would go and pay my respects. After considerable communications with personnel at the facility, they couldn't find any documentation that my Father had even been buried there, let alone give me a location of the plot. I was there with my Mother, 3 brothers, 2 uncles, 4 aunts and hundreds of friends. So I know he's there. This went on for so long that l finally gave up. I still want to go by to check on his grave to make sure it's being cared for and say hi. But I'm so frustrated that I don't know if I will. How can a cemetery not know where they have buried someone? Boggles The Mind Doesn't It?

1.) The obituary notice was run in the newspaper with Cook Walden website listed for more info. Cook Walden didn't have the viewing or service listed until late in the day - for the same day of services. Family & friends had no access to...
