Tri-State Chess

Tri-State Chess is an organization dedicated to building chess programs in elementary schools throughout Greater New York City. Featuring a plethora of professional, experienced chess coaches, Tri-State Chess provides an environment that allows young students to enjoy themselves while becoming mature and highly-respected chess players.
Tri-State Chess provides regularly scheduled scholastic chess tournaments, all of which have been sanctioned by the United States Chess Federation, as a means of providing students a non--threatening environment to advance their skillset. Events are held at different schools and locations, while participants are divided by grade and age.
Additionally, all Tri-State Chess students receive a trophy at the end of the trimester. It is the goal of this organization for every school in the Tri-State area to have a Chess Team competing at the City, State and National Scholastic Chess Championships.
