Bruce Byrd, MD

Dr. Bruce Byrd specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He chose orthopedics as his specialty after witnessing the impact it had on athletes in his community, while he was playing high school sports—while an injury could affect a student’s pathway to the next level, an orthopedic intervention could often get it back on track. Dr. Byrd chose the subspecialty of Adult Reconstruction (Hip and Knee Replacements) because of the immediate life changing effect it can have on his patients. It allows him to use his engineering and mechanical background to positively influence a person’s quality of life, which is very gratifying.

In his free time, Dr. Byrd likes to enjoy the company of his family and friends—eating a great meal and a couple rounds of cornhole are always a plus. He loves to watch sports ranging from the professional level to his daughter playing. He and his wife love the outdoors, from leisurely walks to golfing, biking, or practicing sports with their daughter.
