With a strong commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare, Elisabeth joined The Iowa Clinic in 2023 due to the organization's unwavering dedication to patient well-being and their emphasis on supportive and collaborative work between staff and providers. Elisabeth believes in treating the whole patient and enjoys establishing meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Over the last two decades, Elisabeth has practiced in various internal medicine specialties, including geriatrics, cardiology, urgent care, and orthopaedics. This diverse background has enriched her medical knowledge and has helped her to gain extensive experience. For Elisabeth, the most rewarding part of her job is helping patients live their best lives. She finds fulfillment in encouraging patients in all aspects of their lives, beyond their medical concerns. By treating the whole patient, Elisabeth aims to enhance quality of life and empower them to achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Elisabeth enjoys spending quality time with family — her husband Brian, four wonderful children, and two rescued Great Pyrenees dogs. Elisabeth's love for big dogs sparked an interest in fostering and rescuing more in the future.

In her leisure time, Elisabeth enjoys reading and watching football, especially cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Buffalo Bills. If Elisabeth were not a provider, she might have pursued a career as a therapist or Licensed Social Worker or may have embraced the role of a stay-at-home parent.
