John Netten, DO

John Netten, DO joined The Iowa Clinic Urgent Care because he felt like TIC was the ideal place to continue his emergency medicine career. In pursuit of a better work-life balance, predictable work schedule, and supportive work environment, he felt that The Iowa Clinic checked off all the boxes. Dr. Netten initially chose emergency medicine because of the fast pace and wide variety of pathology, and Urgent Care is very similar in style. Being able to accurately and quickly diagnose patients and answer their concerns is something he finds most rewarding.

Originally from South Korea, Dr. Netten grew up in a small town in northwest Iowa. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, tennis, visiting family and friends, travelling overseas, and spending time with his wife and two kids. If he were not a physician, he would be a cruise ship musician – one of his favorite summer jobs from college!
