Paul Frewin, MD

Paul R. Frewin, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip, knee, and shoulder surgery. Dr. Frewin provides comprehensive orthopedic care to patients 10 years and above. He specializes in evaluating and treating degenerative osteoarthritis of the hip and knee and managing other shoulder, hip, and knee disorders. He performs total joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee and arthroscopic management of shoulder and knee disorders.

Treating every person with comprehensive, compassionate care is the cornerstone of Dr. Frewin’s medical practice. He listens and gives his patients the guidance necessary to make informed decisions.

Dr. Frewin is a New England native. He and his family have lived in Springfield, Missouri, since 1989, where he worked for Cox Health Systems. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to play golf with his family and friends.

Dr. Frewin earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. He completed his surgical internship at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Dr. Frewin went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. While there, he served as chief administrative resident, and his peers awarded him the Gerhard Kuntscher Award for excellence in teaching. He then completed his fellowship training in arthroscopic surgery/sports medicine and total joint replacement surgery at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
