Eric Stevens, MD

Board Certified - Endocrinology, Diabetes and MetabolismA Southern California native, Dr. Stevens developed a strong interest in biology and physiology during college. He had the opportunity to volunteer in hospitals to observe physicians work and enjoyed the chance to see the application of science simultaneously with patient interaction, which led him to pursue a career as a physician. During his internal medicine residency, Dr. Stevens developed an interest in the mentally challenging field of endocrinology where he was able to utilize his excellent problem-solving skills. Furthermore, he appreciated that the field yields a mix of both common and rare diseases, which affords him an opportunity to treat a variety of conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis, and conditions arising with the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands. Dr. Stevens patient care philosophy revolves around being a good listener, working hard for his patients, and serving as a compassionate partner in his patients health. As he states it best, I enjoy the combination of meeting new people, hearing their own unique medical history, and solving problems together. I appreciate the opportunity to have long-term relationships with my patients and helping them through their health care journey.A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Stevens attended medical school at New York Medical College and completed his internal medicine residency at the Albert Einstein / Montefiore Hospital in New York. He chose to return to UCLA to pursue his endocrinology fellowship due to the highly regarded, excellent training program it provided. Dr. Stevens is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. During his time outside of the office, he enjoys playing the ukulele, traveling, playing tennis, cooking, and being outdoors.
