Shannon C. Hren, CNM

Shannon grew up in small towns and on a farm in Iowa. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Western Governors University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Shannon spent the first 20 years of her career working as a labor and delivery nurse before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. As a provider, her clinical interests include birthing, sexual healthcare and menopause medicine.“I love educating birthing families about options and empowering them to make decisions they believe are right for them. I am passionate about shared decision-making and believe that an integral part of all medical decisions includes taking into account the patient's values and preferences.”Married with three grown sons, Shannon and her husband are currently enjoying being empty nesters. When not working, Shannon enjoys traveling in Mexico, looking for all of the best tacos and beaches, exploring, paddle boarding, camping, hiking, hot springs and hot yoga. But most of all, she loves walking her two rescue doggies.
