Samantha Marie Buszek, MD

Dr. Samantha Buszek specializes in the treatment of cancer with radiation therapy. She has clinical training with extensive experience in all disease sites utilizing multiple treatment modalities. Dr. Buszek completed her medical degree at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and radiation oncology residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She is a Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center physician.

Dr. Buszek has performed medical research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Kettering Medical Center, the Jewish Hospital and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has presented her findings at national conferences and published in numerous medical journals. She has written book chapters on stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), management of thymomas and thymic carcinomas, and the use of radiation therapy in leptomeningeal disease. She has developed and conducted her own clinical trial for patients with brain metastases.

She is a member of Radiologic Society of North America, American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Board of Radiology, Society for Women in Radiation Oncology, and the American Association for Women Radiologists.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outside with her husband and son. She also enjoys exercising, baking cakes and doing crafts.
