Dishema Shuler

I offer counseling to individuals, children and families who are experiencing difficulties such as blended family issues, school difficulties, parent-child conflict, depression, anxiety and trauma related issues. Here, I use a strength-based and family-centered approach to help children and families. I have a diverse working background, which helps me educate and advocate influentially for the families that I serve. I advocate for children and their parents and play an active part with IEP’s and parenting support. Aside from my Professional development, I speak on clinical panels with a team of Medical Professionals.

What I feel is unique about me, is that I an authentic and very relatable to a diverse population. I truly believe in the teaching that “You cannot teach what you do not know, and you cannot lead where you don’t go”. Healing has its levels and it’s an ongoing journey, but together, we can achieve our self-care goals.
