Tina Y. Welker, MD

Dr. Welker is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of New Mexico prior to attending the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. After she earned her medical degree, Dr. Welker completed a Family Practice Residency at the University of New Mexico Family Medicine Program. Following residency, she joined West Mesa Family Medicine in Albuquerque. This family medicine group was the foundation for Presbyterian Medical Group, now the largest medical group in New Mexico. She has practiced in Albuquerque since 1988.Dr. Welker enjoys caring for families, infants to grandparents. She has a special interest in women’s health needs.Dr. Welker and her husband are moving to Grand Junction to be closer to her daughter’s family and grandkids. Visiting Grand Junction, they have grown to love the area and the beautiful surroundings and diverse outdoor activities it provides.When not at work she enjoys biking, gardening and hiking with her family.
