Amity D. Helzer, PA

Originally from a small town in Wyoming, Amity grew up in Denver, Colorado. As an undergraduate, she double majored and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Arizona State University in Tempe. Amity earned a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She has completed additional graduate training in medical ethics. Amity has worked in the medical industry for more than 20 years. Her clinical interests include targeted therapies for cancer, emerging treatment technologies and patient-centered support. Outside of her clinical work, Amity pursues learning about bioethics and developing strategies toward more equitable care delivery.“I am passionate about supporting the whole patient throughout the cancer experience. I will strive to listen and support patients physically and emotionally no matter where they are in their experience with cancer. I also support the use of many modalities of complementary therapies in the care and treatment of cancer.”When not at work, Amity spends her time working in her garden, reading, baking and traveling.
