Abbie Metzler, D.O.

Abbie Metzler, D.O., South Dakota native, is a primary care sports medicine physician with Monument Health Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital in Rapid City. She completed her sports medicine fellowship and her family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota. Prior to that she received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her Bachelor of Science in biology health sciences from the University of St. Thomas. Dr. Metzler is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and board-certified in family medicine. She specializes in non-operative orthopedics and focuses on ultrasound guided procedures and sports related injuries. Dr. Metzler currently serves as a team physician for South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Black Hills State University and Rapid City Marshals. In her free time, Dr. Metzler enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, golfing and attending sporting events.
