Once we have your new patient paperwork completed and have you comfortably seated, we will need to obtain a complete set of radiographic images. A full mouth x-rays series consists of 14-20 images of your individual teeth. Our office is also equipped with a panoramic x-ray that is able to give us an image of your mouth and jaw in 1 complete image. These radiographic images will be necessary to properly diagnose and treat. We also take intra-oral camera images as needed. An intra-oral camera is small, about the size of a dental mirror. These images are saved to your electronic dental chart and can be enlarged on a tv screen in front of you to help explain what is happening in your mouth and can also be referenced in the future to track any changes."
