Jemima Chong

Jemima Carvajal, APN is a member of Summit Health’s Internal Medicine team. Ms. Carvajal provides primary care to patients of young adult age and older. Her prior experience includes working with and educating patients in the treatment and management of kidney disease and related illnesses.

Ms. Carvajal employs a holistic approach to patient care with an emphasis on creating a comfortable environment through communication and relationship-building. Having personally witnessed disparities in health care, as well as health literacy and communication issues in a community where she once lived, motivated her to pursue a career as a nurse. Her pursuit in effecting change now yields one of her favorite aspects of her job: helping patients achieve long, healthy lives.

In her free time, Ms. Carvajal enjoys baking, playing the saxophone, exploring new activities, and spending time with her family, German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd.
