First Command Financial Advisor - Warren Russell

Warren Russell joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in April 2021, following a 25-year career in the United States US Coast Guard, where he attained the rank of LT. Commander. Warren understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

Warren has a Master’s degree in Information Systems from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Systems Management from Capital University and Associate Degrees in Computer Engineering Technology and Business. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Alaska.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Warren serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Warren will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

Active in his community, Warren is a member of Rotary Club of Juneau United Way of SE Alaska.

In his free time, Warren enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
