Jerry Thurman, MD

Jerry Thurman, MD, has been in practice since 1997. He completed a fellowship with Saint Louis University School of Medicine’s endocrinology and metabolism department, and now serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine in that same program. Dr. Thurman’s internal medicine residency was completed at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. His medical degree was earned at the University of Missouri - Columbia.

Dr. Thurman is the medical director of the Diabetes Care Center at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles. Among his numerous professional affiliations and activities, Dr. Thurman is on the board of directors for the Heartland Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is also a participant in Volunteers in Medicine, providing diabetic care for indigent patients in St. Charles.

In addition to diabetes, Dr. Thurman’s endocrinology practice focuses on patients with thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, male impotence, poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and other hormone-related problems.
