Abigail Thuet Chitwood, MD

Abigail Chitwood, MD, is one of our new physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Chitwood earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Patients can visit Dr. Chitwood for all general gynecological needs. These include, but are not limited to, well-woman exams, contraception counseling, PAP tests, HPV vaccinations, menopause, breast exams, and adolescent gynecology. She also treats a wide array of other gynecological conditions such as heavy or irregular periods, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, uterine bleeding, fibroids, vulvar disorders and more. For expectant mothers, Dr. Chitwood provides full obstetric care from conception to postpartum. Dr. Chitwood specializes in vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, and other high-risk pregnancy conditions. She enjoys helping new parents prepare for their baby's birth and strives to help make pregnancy an enjoyable experience. Dr. Chitwood's practice is a part of BJC Medical Group, a well-established, multi-specialty physician group.
