Marilia Neves, PsyD

Dr. Neves is a licensed clinical psychologist who presently provides evidence based psychological treatment to women, men, couples and families affected by breast cancer at Dubin Breast Center of The Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai. She is also the Director of Psycho-Oncology Externship Training Program, trains and supervises pre-doctoral clinical psychology trainees in the practice of psychological services at Dubin Breast Center. Dr. Neves has extensive experience as an oncology psychologist and is very passionate and committed to her clinical work with breast cancer patients, their partners and families. She provides psychological care to patients diagnosed with all stages of breast cancer and throughout the continuum of their cancer experience from diagnosis, to treatments, surgeries and survivorship. Dr. Neves tailors psychological care according to the uniqueness and specific needs of patients, couples and families to assist them overcome the challenges breast cancer creates in their day-to-day lives. Therefore, Dr. Neves’ approach is very patient and family centered as well as culturally-sensitive. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
