Carolina Hurtado, MD

Dr. Hurtado is an Endocrinologist who practices at UCLA Health in the Santa Clarita office. Dr. Hurtado sees patients with any endocrine disorder and enjoys developing long term relationships with her patients and working with patients as a team to advocate for their health.
Dr. Hurtado received her Medical Degree at the Central University of Venezuela. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. After this, she pursued her Endocrinology fellowship at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine and was happy to stay on as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at UCLA Health in the Department of Endocrinology.
She has various publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her clinical and research interests include thyroid disorders, diabetes, parathyroid and bone disease, adrenal disease, pituitary disorders, obesity, female and male sex hormones, and general endocrinology. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Dr. Hurtado was born in Venezuela and lived in the US and Argentina during her upbringing before returning to Venezuela and finally establishing in the US. In addition to English, she is fluent in Spanish. Her interests outside of medicine include reading, playing tennis, skiing, and traveling with her family.
