Michael Katz

Michael Katz, MD, FACS, specializes in ear, nose and throat disorders. He has expertise in treating sinus disease, nasal polyps, pediatric otolaryngology, hearing and balance disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, as well as head and neck cancer and voice disorders. Dr. Katz also has expertise in performing ultrasound examination of the head and neck and performs ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules. He also has a special interest in performing functional endoscopic sinus surgery with the utilization of stereotactic image guidance as well as CO2 laser stapedotomy for the treatment of otosclerosis.<br />

Dr. Katz is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.<br />

"I have found that by educating my patients regarding their condition, they are empowered and become active participants in their care, so it is my goal to educate them as much as a I can," says Dr. Katz. "The patients who are the most satisfied are those who understand their disease and are involved in the decision making regarding their care."<br />

When he is not working with patients, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf and piano.
