Richard Paris

Before joining Summit Health, Richard T. Paris, MD, was Chief Medical Officer, Director of Family Medicine, and Director of Graduate Medical Education at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey. Dr. Paris's previous positions include Associate Director of Medical Affairs at Somerset Medical Center, Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Mountainside Family Practice in Verona, New Jersey, and Chairman of Family Practice at Somerset Medical Center, respectively. Dr. Paris also has been a family physician in private practice in Green Brook and Millburn, New Jersey.<br />

Dr. Paris is the recipient of 8 honors and awards, including the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine New Faculty Scholars Award. He is a member of the Hearts for Honduras Medical Team, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American Society of Addiction Medicine, Medical Society of New Jersey, New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians. He has served on the Medical Society of New Jersey Medical Education Committee and the Physicians' Health Program Advisory Board. Dr. Paris is Past President of the Union County Medical Society.
