Andrew Beamer

Andrew D. Beamer, MD, FACC, is Chair of Cardiology at Summit Health. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Beamer has delivered local and national invited presentations in his field. He is the author of articles and abstracts, which are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals. A leader for many notable health organizations devoted to improving patient care, he is Former Cochair of the Overlook Medical Center Chest Pain Advisory Committee that developed leading-edge process improvements for emergency department patients with chest pain. As a result of his expertise and guidance, Overlook Medical Center has been noted for delivering the fastest treatment for heart attack patients in any hospital in North America. Dr. Beamer is a former member of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Consultant Medical Staff. The Consumer Research Council of America lists him in "America's Top Cardiologists." He has been featured in New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings. Dr. Beamer is a recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold DOC Humanism in Medicine Award for his humanistic approach to the practice of medicine. He is a former member of the Summit Health Board of Directors.<br />

Dr. Beamer considers his work as a cardiologist a privilege, and he says that his talent for science and love of helping people was a natural combination for becoming a cardiologist.
