Julia Medford-Natanzon

Julia Medford-Natanzon, MA, CCC-SLP, has expertise in treating adults and elderly patients who have cognitive and linguistic problems, neurologic degenerative diseases, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, head injuries, respiratory problems, tracheostomies, speech / language / and voice disorders, and feeding and swallowing difficulties.<br />

Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Medford-Natanzon practiced with Southview Acres Health Care Center in West St. Paul, Minnesota. She also has been a speech and language pathology supervisor with Saints Joachim and Anne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn, New York.<br />

Ms. Medford-Natanzon notes, "My family members spoke Russian as a first language. Because they often made grammatical and pronunciation mistakes, I began correcting them at a very early age." She adds, "My experience with my family's language difficulties and my desire to help others overcome some of life's obstacles inspired me to pursue speech and language pathology. Because I have seen the positive difference it can make in my patients lives, I have found helping others clearly express themselves through speech and language therapy a rewarding career."<br />

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Medford-Natanzon enjoys playing piano, music, knitting, sports, and dancing. She is fluent in Russian.
