Peter Snieckus

Peter J. Snieckus, MD, has expertise in general diagnostic radiology, pediatric radiology, cardiovascular radiology, computed tomography, ultrasound, interventional radiology, nuclear imaging, and neuroradiology. His professional interests are primarily devoted to interventional radiology, chest imaging, and neck imaging.<br />

Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Snieckus was Director of the Overlook Medical Center Radiology Residency Program in Summit, New Jersey. To his credit, he has been a member of the Overlook Medical Center Cancer Committee for more than 14 years.<br />

Dr. Snieckus became a radiologist because he enjoys solving problems. He notes, "Being a diagnostic and an interventional radiologist gives me many opportunities to make thoughtful decisions and help patients with their medical issues. I'm especially gratified when I can give patients the information they need in a compassionate, reassuring way. in addition to finding solutions for their health problems, I believe patients often need an empathetic listener who understands their concerns and cares about their emotions."<br />

Dr. Snieckus is a recipient of the Overlook Medical Center Teaching Award, Cancer Care Physician of the Year Award, Physician Excellence in Clinical Practice Award, and Compassionate Care in Medicine Award. He has been featured in New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings.
