Debra Margulies

Debra Margulies, MD is a member of the Summit Health Endocrinology team. Dr. Margulies has a clinical focus in thyroid disease and is certified by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM) to perform in-office diagnostic neck ultrasound and fine-needle thyroid nodule biopsies.

In addition to her position at Summit Health, Dr Margulies is president of the New Jersey Association of Endocrinologists (NJAE). She also teaches thyroid ultrasound to endocrine fellows-in-training annually at Endocrine University as well as to other endocrinologists at clinical symposia offered regularly by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Dr Margulies is vice-chair of the AACE Thyroid Disease State Network and serves on the Clinical Affairs Committee of the American Thyroid Association (ATA).

Dr. Margulies is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. She was a recipient of the New York University School of Medicine Excellence in Physical Diagnosis Education Award, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation, and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Excellence in Internal Medicine Award.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Margulies enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
