Emily Avis Redwood, MD

I’m thrilled to join Columbia Primary Care as a pediatrician in the new Manhattan Valley practice. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I’m now proud to call New York City home. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College, followed by my medical degree from UCLA. I then completed my pediatric residency training here at NewYork-Presbyterian–Columbia, where I fell in love with primary care. I find joy and meaning in partnering with families to focus on health promotion and the overall wellbeing of our community’s children. I enjoy getting to know every child and family’s unique needs, and working with them to ensure that each child receives the best, evidence-based medical care. I am proud to act as a family’s advocate, especially in navigating the healthcare system. I am also passionate about medical education and enjoy teaching and mentoring doctors-in-training.
