Julio Cesar Sokolich, MD

Dr. Sokolich is a board-certified multi-organ abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary/pancreas surgeon. He completed his medical degree at the Universidad San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru; and residencies in general surgery programs at Washington Hospital Center and Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Dr. Sokolich went on to complete a fellowship in hepatobiliary/pancreas and abdominal transplant surgery at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital.

Dr. Sokolich performed two of the first and only successful dual kidney transplants in New Mexico. He performed complex hepatobiliary cases never performed before in the state and initiated the expansion of the transplant program in NM into liver and pancreas.
