I am honored and overjoyed to serve and support birthing families through one of life's most sacred and important journeys. I strive to support, nurture and empower each family through their own unique experience of pregnancy, labor and birth. Having served as a postpartum doula for 6 years, I have had the privilege of listening to many birth stories and of meeting families further on in their journey. As a birth doula it is exciting to be able to provide emotional, physical and informational support during birth as well as to have the option to offer families continued care postpartum. Having immigrated from India, and having given birth to my daughter in the United States, I have some little understanding of experiencing giving birth in a different culture than my own and of navigating health care here as a newcomer. I completed my doula training through Big Belly Services in 2018 and completed postpartum doula training through Simkin Center for Birth in 2012. I have also have an MSc in Ecology and embrace systems thinking in my life and work. Rate: $500
