Asher I. Shafton, MD

Originally from Marin County, California, Dr. Shafton received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. He completed his residency in internal medicine from the University of Michigan Hospital Systems in Ann Arbor, Michigan and a fellowship in cardiology from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Shafton is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography, and also has training in Vascular Medicine.

When not working, Dr. Shafton enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his family. Additionally, Dr. Shafton has volunteered to provide medical care in other countries. He has travelled to Mwanza, Tanzania and Beijing, China. He enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that living in Colorado provides, including hiking, cycling, and skiing.
