Sharon C. Golden, NP

Sharon Conrad Golden is originally from Lima, Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree in Art History and multiple nursing degrees. Most recently her master's in Nursing was completed at the University of Washington, Seattle, where she studied to become an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Her specialty focuses on providing care to patients who live in a rural setting.

Ms. Golden practices general neurology and also manages the outpatient stroke clinic for St. Mary's Hospital. She is supervised by Neurologist, Dr. Logan McDaneld, who is the Director of St. Mary's Hospital Stroke Program. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a professional member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing, and the American Heart Association.

Ms. Golden has over 20 years of general registered nursing experience and nearly five years of experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about providing personalized strategies to empower patients to assert greater control over their health care through education and confidence building. She is also very interested in clinical research and improving outcomes for patients. Examples of common neurological problems treated by Ms. Golden include: cerebrovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, migraines, epilepsy, peripheral neuropathy, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and trigeminal neuralgia.

When she is not working, Ms. Golden enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading, hiking and beekeeping.
