Avila-Lima Dayra MD

Dayra Avila-Lima, M.D., medical oncologist, is on the staff of Wheeling Hospital’s Schiffler Cancer Center. Dr. Avila-Lima earned her medical degree at the University of Panama School of Medicine. Her residency in internal medicine was completed at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, which is where she also served a fellowship in hematology oncology. Twice during her internal medicine residency, Dr. Avila-Lima received the hospital’s Humanitarian Award. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
