Mascarenhas Christopher, MD

Christopher Mascarenhas, M.D., is a specialist in colon and rectal surgery, board certified by the American Board of Surgery and board eligible for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Mascarenhas received his medical degree in general surgery from St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India. He served his surgery internship at the University of Missouri School Of Medicine, and his surgery residency at Michigan State University-Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners. Recently, Dr. Mascarenhas completed his Fellowship for colon rectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids. His special interests include: diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy; single-incision surgery and laparoscopic surgery for colon and rectal cancer; fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse surgery; treatment of anorectal disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
