I strive to provide comprehensive evaluations and specialized treatment for emotional and psychological problems, relationship issues, and psychiatric disorders. My hope is to offer an approach that is eclectic, non-judgmental, and warm. Psychotherapy and medication are considered in order to best meet the needs of the individual. I am Board Certified in Psychiatry and have been in private practice since 1990. I served as the Director of The Outpatient Center for Mental Health at Lenox Hill Hospital/NSLIJ for twelve years. I trained at the University of Vermont School of Medicine and at NYU Medical Center. I also studied psychotherapy and psychoanalysis at The Psychoanalytic Institute at NYU Medical Center. I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association.Please note: I have two practice locations. People seen at the Faculty Practice location at 111 East 77th street must use out of network insurance benefits as I am not a participant in any managed care network at this site.
