Dr. Kent Sasse, M.D., MPH., FACS, FACRS, FASMBS is a top-ranked bariatric surgeon offering the highest quality care for patients at Sasse Surgical Associates in Reno, NV. As a fellow of both the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Sasse is skilled in state-of-the-art bariatric surgery techniques, including gastric sleeve surgery, gastric bypass surgery, Lap-Band surgery, and the newest techniques including ORBERA and vBloc, as well as, colorectal surgery, gallbladder surgery and hernia surgery. After earning his undergraduate degree at the University of California - San Diego, he completed his medical degree at the University of California - San Francisco where he also achieved the Campus-Wide Teaching Award as senior resident. Dr. Sasse also completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco before being accepted at the prestigious Lahey Clinic in Boston for his fellowship.
In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, Dr. Sasse is the founder and director of the Obesity Prevention Foundation and is the award-winning author of numerous books and journal articles.
