Great Time

We thought the food and service was great at Tolberts. I wish I would have found this place years ago. Try their tortilla soup!!

The Terlingua Burger is awesome

The Terlingua Chili burger is excellent! Had a Black Shiner with this burger and it was out of sight. The chili has some great mild chili pepper heat and the flavor was delicious. Fresh cut onions and melted cheese increased my motivation to inhale this burger. Service was great too. TRY IT!

This place is fab

You can tell from the pictures exactly how relaxed this place is and I love it! We eat here as often as we can. The service is great and the atmosphere is like being at home, so it's very enjoyable.

Terrific sour cream enchiladas!

Tolbert's in Grapevine definitely has the best sour cream green enchiladas that I've ever had! They grill and lightly season the chicken, and it's not that shredded stuff, either. (They cut it up into small chunks, which gives it even more flavor!) The verde sauce they use has just enough of a spicy tang to it to be delicious without being overwhelming. This is not the usual, ho-hum Tex-Mex that you would get at the chains around here. No, Tolbert's is reminiscent of Southwestern cuisine that you would find in Santa Fe or Albuquerque.

Also, our server was very courteous and attentive. On top of all that, the atmosphere has a relaxed, down-home feel.

One of my new favorites- Awesome Chili

This place has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants.

The food is good, consistent quality, awesome chili, but I wouldn't say that is the reason to go there. The wait staff has been nice, courteous and responsive, but I wouldn't say that is the reason to go there either. I would say the reason to go to Tolbert?s is that it is different, an authentic feel in a city metro area in need of authenticity. The Historic Main Street Grapevine area has the great feel that the outdoor malls try to replicate but it has 100 years of history behind it.

I would definitely recommend Tolbert?s and I would recommend leaving a little time to window shop the unique area around it as well.

As far as recommendations, the chili is what they are most famous for, so give it a try. It goes really well with a cold beer.

Amazing Chili

Tolberts is an great restaurant. Their chili is definitely what they are famous for even though I would argue some of their other food is equally as good. Their sour cream enchiladas, their tortilla soup, the nachos and their jalapeno poppers are some other favorites.
The restaurant really is the whole package, starting with the area. Historic Main Street in Grapevine is a really unique area. I would describe it as a true and natural town center as opposed to all of the fake generic town centers popping up around the metroplex. Definitely a lot of history on the street and in the buildings and Tolberts is a perfect fit for the type of restaurant to be located there. I could rave more about the restaurant, but I would just say try it and you will be impressed.

Known first for their chili but now for their live music

Tolbert's has become the place to go on Friday and Saturday nights in Grapevine. They have some great cover bands and a great crowd.

I used to only go there for lunch and didn't even know much about their weekend crowds until recently. At about 9 or 10pm on weekends, the band starts playing and people start dancing.

Basically it seems like they rotate through popular cover bands from a Tom Petty cover band to an Eagles cover band to a Beatles cover band, etc. It is lots of fun.

MMMMM MMMMM GOOD!

Killer place to eat...LOVE THE CHILI!!! This is a family favorite for us and we have all special occassion dinners here as well.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is once you eat here you will understand!
