They should change the name from Bang! to Shout!
Too loud! We dropped by for the first time on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly. The noise level in the restaurant was outrageous. The waitress actually had to shout the specials over the din. I have never been to a place so noisy. The service was quick - I think the waitress knew we wanted out of there. Where was the manager? The food was okay but overpriced. 14 dollars for a hunk of meatloaf and mashed potatoes is too much. Maybe people are inclined to like the place because they had to wait so long to get in, but I would never go back. I think they should pay me 20 dollars for having to endure a meal there.

Wow! My new FAVORITE place to eat!
This place is a hole in the wall and one I would never go into if I were just walking by on the street. Lucky for me, my friends took me here and I am so glad they did. The food is to die for! It is a great place to go w/ friends or with a significant other. I LOVE this resturant!

Happy Accident
We were actually headed to Sushi Hai, but they had closed. Wandered past (the restaurant whose name set's off CitySearch's inappropriate word filter) and it said "Open". After finding our way down the alley to the front (back) door, we saw they looked to be closing. Someone came to the front, and I asked if they were still open and he said, "yes." Then a server came by to seat us. She curtly told us, "We're only open til 10." I told her we'd hurry. I thought, "Well, this won't be pleasant." From there, everything was WONDERFUL. Our actual server (not the curt girl) waited on us like we were her first table of the evening. Even went through the specials. We had the Herbed Fries and Corn Chowder to start, and they both were scented with sage, which made me think of Thanksgiving. My partner and I both had the Pork Loin with Corn Pudding and Grilled Asparagus as a main course. At one point, my partner said, "I'm going to stop talking now so I can shovel more in." It was excellent. And we never felt rushed or disdained for coming in so close to closing. Now, I'm not recommending everyone stampede in at closing time, I'm just illustrating that if this is the class of service and level of tasty food we get as they're trying to go home, it must be stellar when they're expecting people. It has been added to our list of favorites. I think our server's name was Lois, if she ever happens to read this, I want her to know the she and the remaining kitchen staff made a quickie meal into a memorable experience.

Very good comfort food, but not very comfortable
The meatloaf and salmon with wasabi rice are both very good. The prices have gone up steadily over the years to the point that it's become a questionable choice. The tables are too close together and the place is too loud to have a pleasant evening. It's a shame they compromise where they shouldn't.

I like the idea but I did not think that the food was that great
This place is kind of expensive and seems like it is more of a show that restaurant. My favorite part was the alley walking to the back, past the kitchen. Crazy! Had the meatloaf, pretty mediocre. I would recommend it if you have got some to burn and want to try a unique restaurant, but don't be prepared to be amazed. Nice place for a date.

OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT!
This has been one of our favorite restaurants for about ten years. The owners run the restaurant and are there everyday. They are involved in the cooking as well as in the dinning room, ensuring that every meal is great. The kitchen is visible from the street and looks clean. The restaurant is small, intimate, and may be noisy at times. I think this reflects the active and vibrant street scene of the neighborhood at 32nd and Lowell. All of the entrees are good, but the salmon is amazing. The prices have increased quite a bit over the years, but the experience is well worth the price. Great place for a date. Great neighborhood for a stroll and to shop in the boutiques. BE CAREFUL OF PARKING ON THE RESIDENTIAL SIDE STREETS. SEVERAL OF THEM WERE RECENTLY CHANGED TO RESIDENTIAL PARKING ONLY.

Superb- delicious food, fun atmosphere
I had lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in too long, and we chose Bang! on the fun 32nd strip. Don't let the kitchen in the front fool you- there's a cute and delightful restaurant behind. My burger was succulent and flavorful, and my side salad and her entree salad were fresh, with high quality ingredients. Her romaine salad with candied walnuts, dried cherries and bleu cheese made salad fun, especially paired with the fun corn balls the hush puppies with tartar sauce. Our server was the perfect blend of charming and nice, with expert timing. Dinner is amazing here too--there is not the long wait like there used to be. I love this neighborhood gem.About this listing: Information on this page may be sourced from business owners, public records, and trusted data partners. 2findlocal provides these details to help users discover local businesses and services.
