Corbett Preparatory School of IDS

Founded in 1968, Corbett Preparatory School of IDS (formerly Independent Day School - Corbett Campus) is a fully accredited, nonsectarian private independent school located in North Tampa. The school serves over 500 students from three-year-old pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and offers the International Baccalaureate program of study for all students. Teachers are endorsed in gifted education through a master’s level grant with the University of South Florida College of Education. Teachers at Corbett Prep use brain-based research to develop teaching strategies that honor the uniqueness of the learner— they create a learning environment that is joyful and challenging as well as dynamic, nurturing and safe within a framework that maintains high standards and high expectations.
